John Eaton

John Eaton is an electronic music pioneer and composer of operas and microtonal music.

As composer and performer with the Synket, one of the first analog synthesizers in the 1960s, he was one of the first musicians to perform live with a synthesizer. His compositions include Prelude to Myshkin (1966), Concert Piece for Synket No. 2 (1966), Soliloquy (1967), Synket and Symphony Orchestra (1967), Mass (1970), Microtonal Fantasy for two pianos, and an opera called Myshkin (1971), for orchestra with two Synkets.

Eaton lives near New York City and is currently engaged composing his next opera.
