First recordings of four late, hauntingly beautiful, works by John Cage, sonically related to the work of Morton Feldman. Not at all inconsistent with Cage's intentions, the compositions here, often for larger numbers of instruments, were performed by Glenn Freeman (percussion), Christina Fong (violins / violas), and Karen Krummel (cellos), by overlaying solo tracks.

'Three2' (1991), scored for 3 percussionists, is performed by Glenn Freeman who creates massed sustained sounds and a dense, slowly shifting, texture. Freeman also performs 'Six' (1991), a short work for 6 percussionists, in which sustained quietly thundering sounds contrast with jingling bells. 'Twenty-Three' (1988), scored for 13 violins, 5 violas, and 5 cellos, and 'Twenty-Six' (1991), scored for 26 violinists, both extended studies in changing densities of lengthy sustained sounds, are performed by Christina Fong and Karen Krummel.
