Glenn Freeman performs John Cage's final work for percussion. This 72-minute composition is one of Cage's 'Number Pieces', indeterminate works that specify only the total length in time, number of performers, and utilize 'time brackets' to note time periods within which sound events were to take place. In Freeman's performance, every molecule of sound is articulated, and the sounds occur sparingly and with great sensitivity.
